Job Description

Diverse Staffing is now accepting Billing Specialist applicants for immediate hire.  This a temporary position that will last at least 3 - 6 months, with the possibility of .becoming temp to hire for the right candidate.  In this job, you will work for our client at a facility in Lansing, MI. This position pays up to $18 per hour depending upon experience and is a 1st shift position.  You will normally report to work between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

A Billing Specialist associate for our team on this assignment will be asked to perform various billing duties to support a finance department.  
The following is an example of some of the tasks you may be asked to perform daily working at this position:
  • Invoicing and billing
  • Interact with customers with concerns about the billings

Job Requirements

  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Good attendance record
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Qualifications:
  • High School Degree/Associates Degree 
  • 2 years of applicable experience (invoicing / revenue / general accounting) 
  • Strong attention to detail to detect billing errors 
  • High comfort level with systems navigation 
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft tools 
  • Order entry systems / JD Edwards experience a plus
