Diverse Staffing is now accepting Maintenance Mechanic applicants for immediate hire for a temporary to hire position. In this job, you will work for our client at a facility in Archdale, NC. This position pays up to $20.00/hr. and is a 3rd shift position. You should be flexible to work overnight hours any day of the week.

Our client is one of the leading suppliers of industrial adhesives. These are mainly used in woodworking and furniture manufacture, in the paper and packaging industry, for graphic arts, in the textile, automotive as well as in the electrical industry.

A Maintenance Mechanic for our team on this assignment will be performing the installation of equipment, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive and responsive maintenance of production and facility equipment.

The following in an example of some of the tasks you may be asked to perform daily working at this position:

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and performs scheduled repairs of production equipment during machine service.

  • Skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic and work orders to perform required repairs, installation, maintenance and service.

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Use a variety of hand and power tools, multi-meter, calibration equipment and material handling equipment in performing duties.

  • Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, HMI displays and other electrical equipment.

  • Experience working with 24vdc and 110vac-1phase up to 480vac 3phase.

  • Knowledge and ability to plan, size and install new circuits and power using conduit, wire tray, flexible conduit, cord and related connectors.

  • Detect faulty operations, safety issues and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

  • Comply with the companies safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Three to five years of Maintenance Mechanical experience

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Machines/ Electrical components/ Hydraulics/ Pneumatics

  • Ability to work in a fast paced position with strict deadlines

  • Ability to maintain a good attendance record

  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure

  • Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time everyday

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. assisted

  • Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shift

  • Grasp, grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel and/or balance

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
