Job Description

Diverse Staffing is now accepting Material Handler applicants for immediate hire. This is a temporary position. In this job, you will work for our client at a facility in Austell, GA.  This position pays up to $14.50 per hour and is a 1st shift position. You will report to work Monday-Friday between 9:00am and 6:30pm.

A Material Handler for our team on this assignment will be asked to locate materials within the warehouse and package for shipment. 

The following is an example of some of the tasks you may be asked to perform daily working at this position:
  • Make boxes for packaging.
  • Pack items and prepare for shipment.
  • Place items onto the conveyor line for packaging.
  • Place labels on packages.
  • Check products for quality.
  • Use scan gun to search for items.
  • Stack finished product in staging area.
  • Maintain clean working area.

Job Requirements

  • Positive and professional attitude is required.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able lift 40lbs pounds throughout the entire shift.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturday.
  • Good attendance record
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shift. 
  • Grasp, grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel, or balance.
  • Ability to work will with others in a team environment.
