Job Description

Diverse Staffing is now accepting Meat Production Associate applicants for immediate hire.  This is a temp to hire position. In this job, you will work for our client at a facility in Hillsdale, MI. This position pays up to $12.00/hr. and is a 1st shift position. You will report to work between 6:00 AM and 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. 

Our client for this position is a well-respected producer of high-quality sausage products with a rich history in the food manufacturing industry.         


A Meat Production associate for our team on this assignment is responsible for the stuffing, packaging, and boxing of sausage products manually or by mechanical means to produce both work in process and finished goods products.

The following is an example of some of the tasks you may be asked to perform daily working in this position:

  • Adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), package, stuff or slice, raw materials to designated weights on an individual package or case weight basis.   
  • Transfers finished products and raw meat to identified location in the plant/warehouse or on the production line.      
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including the wearing of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as prescribed for each work activity or job.

Job Requirements

  • MUST be right handed    
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.    
  • Prior food production butchering experience preferred
  • Good attendance record
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time
  • Lift up to 100 lbs.    
  • Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shift
  • Grasp, grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel or balance
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
