Job Description

Diverse Staffing is now accepting Quality Inspector applicants for immediate hire. This is a temp to perm position. In this job, you will work for our client at a facility in Bartlett, TN.  This position pays $15.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE and is a second shift position. You will report to work Monday - Thursday between 3:00pm and 1:30am.

A Quality Inspector for our team on this assignment will be asked to be highly detailed and precise of their work and to adhere to ISO 13485 quality management system procedures.  You will be performing inspection of manufactured devices/articles using standard measuring instruments and applying industry standard machine tool techniques ensuring that the customer product requirements are met while meeting the requirements of the quality policy.  

The following is an example of some of the tasks you may be asked to perform daily working at this position:

  • Inspecting manufactured devices/articles at First Article, in-process, incoming and Final Inspections according to print specifications.
  • Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspections of raw materials, components and assemblies as per inspection plans or specification requirements.
  • Initiate non-conformance reports as required.

Job Requirements

  • Must have Associate's Degree or Trade Course Certificate from a two year college or technical school with a Certified Inspector Certificate.  
  • 3-5 years work experience as a quality control inspector; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Math Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals in English and Metric System.  Ability to use handheld calculator. The ability to convert metric units to English units and vice versa.
  • Ability to use standard measuring and testing devices such as but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gage, pin gage, radius gage, optical comparator, depth micrometer, etc. Ability to use hand tools such as but not limited to wrenches, screwdriver, allen-wrenches, etc.
  • Ability to read fairly complicated drawings and specifications.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shift. 
  • Grasp, grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel, or balance.
  • Ability to work will with others in a team environment.
