Job Description

We are assisting our client with their search for Scrum Master for their office in Baltimore, MD.  This role will oversee several scrum teams of developer and testers building enterprise web applications.  A successful candidate with have functioned as a Scrum Master leading technical teams to deliver web applications with a strong focus on test-driven development and must have worked with CMS (Center for Medicaid Services) systems/applications. This is a long term, renewable contract. This is a contract position, with an expected hourly pay rate of $50-$55/hr.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Participates in technical projects implementing test data management and use of the Enterprise Data Management Tool, including Archiving, Test Data Management and Decommissioning.
  • Suggests and recommends process improvement, supporting test data reuse, reduction of production systems data usage, and storage of data for decommissioned systems.
  • Contributes to ongoing review of the Enterprise Data Management Tool hardware and software environments.
  • Contributes to ongoing reviews of security, migration standards, and processes and alignment within a assigned project.
  • Codes and modifies scheduling of production Test Data Management jobs meeting project requirements.
  • Contributes to review and prioritization of Data requests in alignment with Quality Assurance and IT priorities, subject to funding and resource constraints.
  • Reviews the production of the Enterprise Data Management Tool environment ensuring support and maintenance and consistent integration of patches and system software upgrades.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Experience is playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. (Adjust based on your necessity)
  • Must have previous experience working on Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS) systems
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games. Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.
  • The experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: various Burndown technologies, many Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
