Job Description

Diverse Staffing is now accepting Shipping and Receiving Clerks applicants for immediate hire for a temporary position for 1 - 2 months.  In this job, you will work for our client at a facility in Indianapolis, IN. This position pays up to $17.00/hr and is a 1st shift position. You will report to work from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Our client for this position is providing protective finishing solutions and helping customers increase line outputs and improve efficiency.

A Shipping and Receiving Clerks  for our team on this assignment must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and perform basic shipping and receiving duties.

The following is an example of some of the tasks you may be asked to perform daily working in this position: 
  • Organize, safe-guard and validate levels of stock inventory
  • Ship orders - verify accuracy - track information
  • Attention to detail, staying on schedule, and knowledge of how to operator a forklift is required

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good attendance record
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shift
  • Grasp grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel or balance
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Have a clean criminal background and pass a drug screen
