The Staffing Services Area Manager is responsible for the daily oversight of two or more branch operations and delivery against client SLAs and Diverse Staffing, Inc. quality and administrative standards. Additionally, the Area Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding business with existing clients of each branch in any location under jurisdiction; seeking out additional opportunities, and partnering with branch delivery to consult with the Managing Director of Branch Operations and Director of HR and Operations and Operations and impacted staffing team on design of streamlined delivery processes to ensure the highest standard of quality is achieved based upon client requirements.



The following represents the essential job functions.



  • Maintain client business relationships with a "customer for life" approach; seeking opportunities to expand business with current customers, resolving customer issues in a timely and effective manner and periodically soliciting client feedback to monitor customer satisfaction

  • Manage and maintain P&L statement for all branches under supervision; controlling expenses, unemployment claims, and workers compensation costs at or below budget

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of all branch staff in any location under jurisdiction, including coaching, motivating, and directing to ensure quality delivery and compliance against client SLAs

  • Solicit and write proposals working with sales and accounting for proper pricing of RFPs/ RFQs/ RFIs related to additional business opportunities on an as needed basis

  • Proactively identify, analyze and trouble shoot client service issues in partnership with branch staff; executing upon service strategies and processes as well as timely communication with clients to resolve systemic business issues effectively and efficiently

  • Partner with company management to develop Sales Forecast/Projections/Budgets for multiple branches

  • Establishment of client retention and sales goals as well as attaining a performance level that meets or exceeds such goals for each branch through personal efforts and managing a "results-oriented" team (staff)

  • In partnership with the management team, implement and ensure branches adhere to all company policies and guidelines set forth by management; holding staff accountable for results

  • Deal with internal staff problems/complaints in a timely and effective manner; ‘managing by example" through your own personal work ethics and effort; escalating concerns to HR





Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in human resources, business, or marketing) or five or more years staffing management and recruiting experience. Master degree preferred

  • Two or more years of prior management experience; requiring hands-on management and coaching

  • Two or more years in a consultative client facing management role (i.e. sales, customer service, account management, consulting, service industry, etc.)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact in a respectful manner with a diverse population of colleagues, clients and job applicants; leveraging active listening skills and paying attention to cues from reading their audience

  • Proven communication skills; able to convey one’s message in a clear, concise and professional manner, considering one’s audience, in all forms of media (i.e. voicemail, phone, email, face-to-face) and handles conflicts and disagreements constructively

  • Proficient multi-tasking capabilities; able to prioritize multiple client job requisitions, software and business processes while remaining compliant with policies and delivering against deadlines

  • Proven problem solving skills; able to identify important aspects of a problem, gather appropriate information, determine potential causes, and specify alternative solutions

  • Strong attention to detail; demonstrating attentiveness to all aspects of a task or process, alert and accurate

  • Able to occasionally travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule.

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office software

  • PHR or SPHR certified, preferred

  • PMP or Six Sigma certification, preferred

  • MBA or Master degree
