Diverse Staffing is currently seeking Manufacturing Operators to work a Brake Press for an Aerospace Manufacturer. Staff for these positions will work at our customer’s site in Greenwood, IN. This position pays $14.50/hour and we have first and second shift available at this time.

A Manufacturing Operator for our team on this assignment is responsible for forming bend angles on aerospace components and tubes to very close tolerances using a manual press brake. May perform some troubleshooting and rework of production items. Must be able to work from complex and detailed blueprints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Bends component and tube parts to company specifications and customer expectations in a manner consistent with the company's quality and productivity standards.
• Selects the correct V-Die based on the thickness of the material and the correct punch based on the radius of the bend.
• Performs the set-ups for manual form operations per work instructions.
• Retrieves programs and set-up auto form operations
• Inserts material into machines, manually.
• Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects. Tags any non-conforming parts with re-work labels and places in re-work bin.
• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times.
• Maintains a clean workstation and cleans-up production areas as required.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, along with a willingness to do what needs to be done (without taking shortcuts), to move to other lines and departments to fill company needs, and to learn and improve own skills.
• Follows all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment.
• Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by Group Leader or any other member of the leadership team
• All of these objectives must be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Ability to read and understand blueprints, plots, mylars, gauges, and work instructions. (Will train)
• Demonstrates a strong customer focus along with a great work ethic
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude
• Should be creative and be able to brainstorm and implement ideas
• Must be able to work required overtime that can be substantial during peak customer production periods
• Able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.
• Demonstrate reliability and good attendance.
• Demonstrate ability to work and communicate with co-workers and leadership
• High school Diploma or GED required
• Possess basic computer knowledge
• Possess Press Brake experience
• Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
• Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc
• Able to successfully pass vision screens 
• Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
