Diverse Staffing is currently seeking a Computer Network Analyst for a local government position on our DiverseGOV team. The Computer Network Analyst hired by us, will work at the Louisville Water Company (LWC), in Louisville, KY 40202. Pay will be based on experience and skill set. Please indicate your wage requirement when applying. You will report to work Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however work may occasionally be needed outside of the normal work day schedule.

A Computer Network Analyst for our team at this client location will be asked to represent Diverse Staffing to perform the following responsibilities. This position will require an extensive background and credit check, so please be aware of that as well.

The following in an example of some of the tasks you will perform working at this position:

Desktop Computer Setup and Support:

  • Inspect computer equipment; install and configure to user requirements; prepare computer for delivery;
  • Install or assist in the installation of hardware, software, and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drive;
  • Load and configure specified software packages such as operating systems, network drivers, office automation, electronic communications, and internet for use;
  • Test hardware and software configurations to verify correct system operation; educate user of equipment, software, and manuals;

Desktop Workstation User Support:

  • Answer client’s inquiries in person and via telephone concerning systems operation;
  • Diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems;
  • Recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of systems operation;
  • Replace defective or inadequate software packages;
  • Refer major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.

Network Troubleshooting and Problem Diagnoses:

  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems;
  • Upgrade network hardware and software components, under the direction of a network administrator;

Network Maintenance:

  • Install, upgrade, and configure network printing, directory structures, rights, security, and software on file servers;
  • Establish network users, user environment, directories, and security for networks being installed.
