Job Description

Are you a marketing professional interested in getting valuable experience designing academic materials? DiverseGOV is currently seeking someone just like you for a great contract opportunity with the Navy Housing Learning Center (HLC) in Jacksonville, Florida. 
This individual will design content for supplemental curriculum materials for virtual learning activities. Partnering with producers on staff, they will provide general event and lesson support while maintaining inventory for the department and tracking logistics for meetings, workshops, and seminars.
Here are some of the things you can expect to do:

•Design content for learning activities to include any combination or blend of delivery methods, by using visual and emotional appeal that engages learners

•Apply attention with graphical design elements that improve the training experience

•Create vignettes that support cognition, sensory experience, analysis, and intuition toward understanding the content being delivered

•Evaluate training delivery and content - suggest changes and enhancements to curriculum to the Director HLC that support Human Performance Technology and existing training programs

•Assist Curriculum Director to design and produce supplemental curriculum materials to support transfer of learning. (Blog, Job Aids, Memory Joggers). Organize, archive, and make available HLC courseware inventory (physical and digital files) to Virtual Facilitators and Producers, Instructional Systems Designers, and those in Housing who develop, update and review course content

•Coach HLC collaborators on G2 access, best practices, and operating procedures

•Validate Content and compatibility of courseware files with hardware and software to support the events and consistent evolution of the training curriculum

•Back up files to external to hard drive, synchronize computer peripherals with PC and edit digital photos

•The employee shall coordinate, facilitate, and produce asynchronous and virtual training

•Produce Virtual Instructor Led Training (vILT) by partnering with facilitators to prepare virtual classroom, practice and deliver course content, and troubleshoot technical issues

•Facilitate vILT by partnering with Producer to prepare virtual classroom, practice and deliver course content and create a comfortable learning environment

•The employee shall plan, coordinate and track logistics for HLC training events, meetings, workshops, and seminars both on and off site

•Coordinate HLC's courseware, inventory and supplies to adequately support training events

•Develop, implement and coordinate effective tracking logistics of courseware products to all CONUS and OCONUS locations

•Ensure format, spelling and grammar are correct in office documents and communications

•Develop and operate a strategic communications/marketing plan for social media that can be leveraged to grow the HLC customer base

•Develop, create, and publish HLC content on official websites to include downloadable marketing materials, supplemental curriculum materials and course schedules

•Collaborate with government-provided writers and designers to produce a final website layout compatible with CHINFO standards

Job Requirements

•5 years of specialized experience in specific areas of Computer Operations and Programming Development

•5 years' experience in DOD/DON applications and IT software

•Extensive skill level to conduct studies, analyze extensive computer program data, develop alternatives, and make recommendation to resolve problems

•Knowledge and understanding of budget execution processes and practices

•Must have knowledge of SECNAVINST, DOD policy and Housing procedures

•Familiar with organization structure and operation methods of Navy and other Department of Defense components

•Must have knowledge of guiding instructions and directives of Navy Housing, their organizational structures and work methods

•Demonstrate ability to multi-task in Adobe Connect, DCO and NSP

Demonstrate proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office suite and incorporated programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Publisher
