Diverse Tech Staffing is seeking experienced Help Desk Associate for an assignment with a client in the Indianapolis area at Franciscan Alliance.  This position pays up to $17.00/hr. and is a 3rd shift part-time position. You will report to work between 11:00 PM and 11:00 AM, Friday through Sunday.

Monitors multi-technology computing platforms including mid-range platforms, mainframes and servers.  Monitors network traffic, runs transactions, and executes refreshes to ensure a secure network system for SSFHS 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Performs system back-up process and troubleshoots and restores routine technical services, ensuring a stable operating environment. Responds to 1st level support calls in absence of help desk hours and/or forwards users to appropriate group to resolve issues.

Responsibilities you can expect in this assignment include:

•    Monitors network traffic including performance, hardware and networking performance and access
•    Facilitates back-up of standard and non-standard applications and database servers.  Coordinates off-site storage of back-ups in accordance with DR policies.
•    Monitors and responds to all interface alerts.  Uses tools to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve interface issues.  Refers difficult issues to 3rd level support.
•    Monitors application processing by running transactions, evaluating performance and evaluating capacity of such applications
•    Oversees the status and stability of voice/data circuits. Escalates issues  to telecommunications group
•    Monitors system capacity and resource utilization of systems. Reports performance to appropriate group.
•    Monitors and maintains daily systems administration of Net Back-up.
•    Remotely configures and supports PC peripherals such as printers, scanners, modems, monitors and drives.
•    Monitors, triages, and supports al printing issues, including XXXX and report distribution processing and applications.
•    Provides Helpdesk/Customer Service after hours and as needed to receive, log, triage, resolve and assign logs.
•    Performs second level support for logs assigned to Operations.  Owns logs, resolves problems, closes logs and communicates resolutions.
•    Proactively monitors system stability 24X7 to prevent system downtime.
•    Coordinates, tracks, and communicates change management activities and status.
•    Monitors facility mechanical stability.  Responds to issues as appropriate.
•    Proactively works with technical and application groups to build relationships, give input and seek information.
•    Works rotating shifts and odd hours to provide 24X7 coverage.  Maintains schedule flexibility to provide coverage for PTO and Sick days of team members.
•    Designs and develops standards, policies and procedures related to Operations.
•    Programs scripts for the execution of production control jobs and scheduling of those jobs. Builds scripts in support of file transfers and job scheduling tasks.
•    Works with vendors to troubleshoot issues.
•    Monitors quality of changes implemented into production, revises documentation for the new processes and owns resolution of the quality issues.
•    Trains and mentors new and less experienced computer operations support analysts.

Job Requirements

•    Requires technical knowledge, training and understanding of a job’s requirements.
•    Typically possesses 2-5 years of relevant work experience
•    Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
•    Microsoft Office Products, Outlook, Intermediate knowledge level Windows/Unix OS, Familiar with Open Systems Hardware configurations.
•    Entry level knowledge of scheduling software and backup software
•    Performs professional level work. 
•    Develops solutions requiring analysis and research. 
•    Responsible for critical work and/or complex projects performed within a broader technical and business context.
