Diverse Staffing is currently seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians. Staff for these temp to hire positions will work at a client facility in Shepherdsville, KY. This position pays $15.00 to $22.00 /hour and is a first shift position. You will report to work at 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday.

An Industrial Maintenance Technician for our team on this assignment will be responsible for providing maintenance support to safely achieve optimal levels of productivity and quality for our client.

The following are a few of the tasks you could expect to do in this position:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
  • Monitor production and process equipment for proper operation
  • Notify management of potential equipment issues or abnormalities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment
  • Enter required information into maintenance database
  • Maintain organization of your work area and other areas where repair work is in progress

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-year technical degree or related certifications or training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing. Plastic extrusion manufacturing is a plus.
  • Must have tools to perform mechanical and electrical repairs- including electrical multi-meter, etc.
  • Must be able to lift, climb ladders, platforms and work in tight spaces in and around machinery.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with others.
  • Must be able to work with and assist others effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be computer literate in Windows, Outlook, etc.
  • Skill Level will determine pay level.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, employment history verification, and records check
  • PLC programming or troubleshooting experience is a plus.
  • Flexible to work any shift and required overtime
  • Have experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Skilled in electrical troubleshooting of control circuits and exhibit the ability to safely work with single and three phase voltages up to 480 volts
  • Have experience with servo- drives / motors and PLC logic
  • Be able to safely troubleshoot and identify problems in electrical heating systems involving thermocouples, temperature controllers and solid state relays
  • Have experience repairing and replacing mechanical drive components including bearings, chains, sprockets and gear reducers
  • Good attendance record
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
  • Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shift
  • Grasp grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel or balance
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
