Our Shelbyville Recruiting Center is currently taking applications for maintenance technician positions in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. These individuals will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs of machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will understand what it takes to be efficient in minimizing plant delay time and maximizing production.


  • Maintain, adjust, repair, and rebuild machinery and equipment by interpreting machine drawings and parts diagrams, and applying the understanding of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and motor control theory principles
  • Exhibit superior safety practices at all times
  • Troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs
  • Identify parts required for repairs and write work orders regarding the task
  • Perform cutting, welding, fabrication, rigging, and drive component alignments
  • Work with hand and power tools, gauges, meters, and various specialty alignment tools

Job Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment including strong daily interaction with various associates and multiple levels within the manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem solving skills and must have a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience of 3-5 years preferred
