A Material Coordinator, for our team at this client location will be asked to manage inbound logistics and material flow by ensuring on time availability of all needed production materials.

 

The following is an example of some of the tasks you will perform daily working at this position:

  • Follow up in detail on all missed deliveries.
  • Continually improve process and systems to handle increasing load without additional inventory, handling time and material cost.
  • Monitor material and component part purchases to avoid obsolescence.
  • Order direct material for non-production related activities like new program startups.
  • Order indirect material to support ongoing operations as required.
  • Maintain the Purchase Order Request that complies with the accounting requirements of our parent company
  • Expedite missed deliveries and rush orders for inbound materials.
  • Resolve all supplier delivery issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships.
  • Track and maintain records for direct supplier performance metrics.
