Diverse Staffing is currently seeking experienced Metal Stamp Technicians to start work immediately. You will work on an assignment at a customer’s facility in Jackson, Michigan. This position pays $18.00 to $22.00 /hour. This is a 2nd Shift assignment.



Our customer for this position is a prototype metal stamping and tube bending company located in Jackson, MI. They have been in business since 1991 and serve customers throughout the United States. The following is an example of some of the tasks you will perform daily working at this position:




  • Operate laser cutting machines with the ability to make CAD adjustments and offsets




  • Setup and troubleshoot stamping tools




  • Operate and set up a variety of hydraulic presses to form parts to print specifications




  • Responsible for numerous machining techniques including milling, drilling, reaming, grinding, sanding, etc




  • Layout parts to meet blueprint specifications using calipers, gages, etc

Job Requirements



  • Able to read blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD/T)




  • Knowledge of sheet metal forming processes




  • Able to operate hydraulic presses




  • Understand CAD systems




  • Able to utilize standard inspection tools to verify parts meet print specifications  




  • Knowledge of standard shop equipment and manufacturing processes




  • Able to multitask and work in high-pressure situations under deadlines.




  • Able to develop process improvements to optimize the efficiency of the role.




  • Ability to plan and manage assignments
