Job Description

Diverse Staffing is currently seeking experienced Press Brake Machine Operator to start work immediately. You will work on an assignment at a customer’s facility in Jackson, Michigan. This position pays $18.00 to $25.00 /hour and is a 1st shift position. You will report to work 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.



Our customer for this position is a prototype metal stamping and tube bending company located in Jackson, MI. They have been in business since 1991 and serve customers throughout the United States. Here are a few of the tasks you will have on a day-to-day basis on assignment with this client:



• Operate press brake machine


• Run bends and forming operations


• Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake to create a 30 part


• Understands tooling, principles, tonnage and material thicknesses of all types


• Configure bend allowances for sheet metal


• Prepare, load and unload material for Press Brake operation


•Inspect parts for flaws and take corrective action if needed

Job Requirements


• Basic understanding of computers


• Blueprint and GD&T understanding and how it impacts the part. 


• Ability to define problems, and establish appropriate corrective actions


• Ability to talk and hear for entire shift


• Ability to be standing, walking, bending, gripping, stooping, crouching, and the use of both hands for an entire shift.


• Ability to occasionally lift and move items over 50 pounds. 


• close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus


• Good attendance record


• Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time


• Basic reading, writing, and math skills


• Grasp grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel or balance and have good eye-hand coordination.


• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
