Diverse Staffing is currently seeking an Production Manager to support tremendous growth nation-wide. Staff for these positions will work for Diverse Staffing at a client based in Tupelo, MS. This position requires flexibility in work hours as needed beyond the 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday schedule. Some Saturdays may be scheduled as well.

We are looking for an individual with Production Manager experience in the tire industry.

As a Production Manager you will be responsible for aiding in the daily operation within all departments utilizing temporary labor.  Analyzes daily budgets, labor, scrap, scheduling, overtime, and production reports for trends and patterns to reduce costs, scrap, improve product quality and improve department efficiency.  Reviews plant challenges and coordinates efforts to minimize overall production problems.  Maintain a key role in the safety program.   
What you should know…
  • Supervises the department's personnel as well as coordinating the efforts of the area support staff as they pertain to assigned areas, equipment and personnel.
  • Supports, maintains, and recommends changes to the safety program.
  • Assists in training initiatives across all departments.
  • Reviews quality conditions from the previous day, and addresses needs to control them.
  • Ensures accurate and timely inventory tracking.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to prevent operational delays.
  • Develops or revises SOP’s and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves safety, production, and quality data.
  • Responsible for controlling and reducing waste materials and scrap tires.
  • Responsible for working within the departmental budget be it cost, waste, manpower, etc.
  • Aids in the justification and preparation of major changes in the department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, or other Engineering Discipline
  • 3+ years comparable work experience in a manufacturing environment.
