Diverse Staffing has partnered with a state of the manufacturing facility in Jackson, Michigan to find and place a Quality Technician for a 1st shift position. This temporary position pays $19.00 to $20.00 per hour and you report to work 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.  Friday is an overtime work day.

The following in an example of some of the tasks you will perform daily working at this position:
  • Perform Layout Inspection of components & assemblies using precision Gaging instruments.
  • Verify part print dimensions employing traditional plate layout Inspection tools.
  • Utilize shop math and blueprint reading skills as required to perform day-to-day assignments.
  • Maintain record of inspections and prepare list of defects, interact with internal customers to ensure 
  • compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts.
  • Provide inspection data to the requestor in an organized and professional manner.
  • Operate electronic/mechanical/optical/programmable inspection equipment as required.
  • Work from drawings, specifications and instructions.
  • Develop fixtures or inspection methods to minimize time and improve the accuracy of results.
  • Completing and submitting FAI's & PPAP's using core tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, Inspection Reports)
  • Obtain and test samples of products, Following-up on test results
  • Communicate with production team members and supervision to help identify, correct non-conformances
  • Perform product and process audits
  • Participate in quality and safety improvement initiatives
  • Provide training as assigned to others
  • Calibration Measurement & Test Equipment (M&TE) able to choose appropriate tool for task, maintain calibration tracking system, understanding traceability to NIST.
  • Provide customer service to all areas of production and quality services (Reports, Submissions)
  • Work with outside contract laboratories, submitting samples, and reviewing results for compliance
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001

Job Requirements

  • Follow work instructions.
  • Plan and manage assignments.
  • Prioritize work.  Easily accept direction, complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • read and understand blueprints.
  • Utilize various inspectional measuring tools. (Micrometers, Calipers, etc.)
  • Operate both independently and as part of a team.
  • Well versed in Quality Concepts, Quality Tools and Quality Principles for products and processes.
  • Operate computers while using a Windows platform. (retrieve files, save files, email, Word and Excel)
  • Use and understand Calibration Software (GagePack), SPC software (Minitab)
  • Must be organized and show initiative
  • High problem-solving skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and be flexible.  As a rapid prototype company, our needs change quickly and often. You will be asked often to work overtime, come in early or stay late.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Some positions may require candidates to submit to a limited background check and/or drug screen based on the client’s requirements.
