You know, people just like you! Our Memphis, TN Recruiting Team is taking applications for Assembly Associates in the Marion, AR area. This position pays up to $13.00 per hour and is full-time temporary to hire.

For four decades out client has proudly manufactured the number one selling medium and heavy-duty trucks in Japan. They also manufacture buses and diesel engines. In the United States, they assemble medium-duty trucks. These manufacturing facilities produce axles, knuckles, and suspension components.

As an Assembly Associate you will be part of a team responsible for assembling an entire product or component of a product. The team member performs all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process, and rotates through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis. The team member follows safety protocols, assembles parts using standardized work, and inspects the parts for high quality.

Here are some of the things you can expect to do:

  • Follow required Safety rules

  • Follow standardize work

  • Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications

  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances

  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators

  • Assemble components and entire parts

  • Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping

  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

  • Start machines or equipment to begin production processes

  • Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular process

  • Clean and monitor work areas

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand

  • Use hand or power tools

  • Use computers to enter, access or retrieve data

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • On the job training in safety, quality, and productivity

  • Experience in manufacturing and/or welding preferred

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Good problem solving skills and strong attention to detail

  • Dependable and fosters teamwork

  • Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed

  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; to talk; and to hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to frequently adjust.
