Diverse Staffing is now accepting Warehouse Distribution Operator applicants for immediate hire for a temporary to hire position. In this job, you will work for our client at a facility in Plainfield, IN. This position pays up to $18.00/hr. and is a 1st shift position. You will report to work between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

The Warehouse/Distribution Operator will support the order processing function (i.e., picking, packing, shipping, etc.). Receive and put away manufactured products or raw materials. This includes unloading trucks, verifying quantities received and entering receipt into a WMS (warehouse management system). Pick and pack customer orders utilizing the warehouse computerized management system. Other customary warehouse functions (e. g., cycle counting, processing material for destruction, etc.). Comply with all applicable laws and regulations (e. g., OSHA, FDA, DEA etc.). General cleaning of work area daily. It is critical to be on time and available for each scheduled shift.

The following in is an example of some of the tasks you may be asked to perform daily working at this position:

  • Pick and pack customer orders. This includes interaction with the warehouse management system via a hand-held RF device. Material is picked by using RF device to scan product license plate. Validated packing requirements must be followed precisely. When pick/pack function is complete, order is weight checked to verify accuracy. Orders are consolidated by license plate to ship units. Packing list and ship label are printed and included with shipment.
  • Responsible for complying with FDA and OSHA requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all training identified in his/her individual training plan (ITP) is current and complete #4 constantly look for improvements in productivity, compliance, and data accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse experience 
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Products)
  • Understanding of FDA, DEA, and OSHA requirements
  • This position may require experience operating a forklift
  • May require pre-placement assessments
  • Exposure to potential allergens is possible
  • Post Offer Exam-Distribution Post Offer
  • Good attendance record
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
