Diverse Staffing is currently seeking Warehouse Receiving Clerks with Forklift certification for immediate hire. Staff for these positions will work on a temporary assignment at a client facility in Indianapolis, IN This position pays $12.00 to $14.00 /hour and is an 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday work schedule.

A Warehouse Receiving Clerk for this assignment maintains inventory, receives products and meets quality and customer requirements with every order. This is a climate controlled environment and the noise level is 



The following are some of the day-to-day tasks and/or responsibilities a Warehouse Receiving Clerk can expect on this assignment:



• Responsible for knowing what we sell, what we make in-house, how the product is used, general product specifications, etc.


• Understand and comply with company quality  policy


• Present the best first impression possible to our customers in accordance with the Echo Way


• Adhere to guidance and direction from management


• Manage documentation and records on inventory production and inventory counts in a complete, accurate, and timely manner


• Manages documentation for recording breakdown of bulk inventory


• Rolls down or breaks down bulk inventory into proper quantities


• Marks boxes correctly and accurately reports the breakdown of bulk inventor to the accounting department when necessary


• Labels warehouse stock inventory accurately


• Safeguards and organizes warehouse inventory


• Ensures the oldest levels of inventory are moved first to avoid obsolescence


• Validates the levels of the stock inventory


• Breaks down all inventory received and counts to verify correct amount of product was received and is of good quality


• Notifies manager when inventory levels require re-order


• Reports immediately shortages in ready-to-sell inventory bins to manager so production may be scheduled to prevent stock-outs


• Improves organization packaging and counting of inventory and shipments


• Isolates and clearly marks non-conforming inventory and stores away from production area


• Ensures non-conforming product does not get past the receiving doors


• Communicates accurate shipping and tracking information to internal and external customers


• Handle customer questions and service related queries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism


• Handle ‘will call’ orders with world-class customer service


• Places customer order (OE) when necessary


• Processes credit card payments when required


• Documents customer complaints


• Responsible for cost control and waste reduction in warehouse area


• Initiates lock out/tag out procedures where necessary


• Maintains a clean and organized work area and ensures bin inventor remains clean without broken bags in stock bins


• Follows schedules for both housekeeping and maintenance on equipment and makes recommendations for additional maintenance or repair as needed


• Cross trains in other departments and serves as back up as needed


• May assist with operating machines including molding press, rotary die cutter, tape slitter, re-winder, laminator, bagging machine, forklift, overhead press, clicker press

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• 1-year experience in shipping


• 2 years' experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred


• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus


• Forklift certified


• Strong attention to detail


• Good communication and basic math skills


• Ability to multi-task


• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word


• Experience using various shipping systems (such as UPS, FedEx, etc.)
