Diverse Staffing is currently seeking Warehouse Shipping Clerk for immediate hire. Staff for these positions will work on a temporary assignment at a client facility in Indianapolis, IN This position pays $12.00 to $14.00 per hour and is an 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday work schedule.

Our client for this assignment leads the industry with quality precision finishing solutions and engineered rubber and plastic components. A Warehouse Shipping Clerk for this assignment maintains inventory, prepares orders for shipment, ships products and meets quality and customer requirements with every order. This is a climate controlled environment and the noise level is light to moderate.

The following are some of the day-to-day tasks and/or responsibilities a Warehouse Shipping Clerk can expect on this assignment:

• Responsible for knowing what we sell, what we make in-house, how the product is used, general product specifications, etc.

• Understand and comply with company quality  policy

• Present the best first impression possible to our customers in accordance with the Echo Way

• Adhere to guidance and direction from management

• Ensures on-time delivery while meeting quality expectations set by company and customer

• Reviews schedule and communicated part production at beginning middle and end of day to ensure all orders are shipped on time

• Collects orders  hourly from sales and customer service for processing

• Processes all orders scheduled on work orders ensuring customer requirements are met

• Uses and maintains shipping system/ database with up-to-date customer information

• Verifies type and quality of package contents before shipping to customer

• Inspects product quality before shipping to customer ensuring non-conforming product does not leave the shipping door

• Verifies customer address, shipment method, and overall accuracy of shipping labels before shipping to customer

• Ensures custom parts are shipped with required inspection documentation

• Maintains or enhances the quality of all parts and packaging

• Brings inefficiencies and productivity improvement suggestions to management weekly or as often as needed

• Maintains a clean and organized work area; assists in cleaning warehouse production area as needed

• Communicates accurate shipping and tracking information to internal and external customers

• Handle customer questions and service related queries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism

• Handle ‘will call’ orders with world-class customer service

• Places customer order (OE) when necessary

• Processes credit card payments when required

• Documents customer complaints

• Responsible for cost control and waste reduction in warehouse area

• Initiates lock out/tag out procedures where necessary

• Maintains a clean and organized work area and ensures bin inventor remains clean without broken bags in stock bins

• Follows schedules for both housekeeping and maintenance on equipment and makes recommendations for additional maintenance or repair as needed

• Cross trains in other departments and serves as back up as needed

• May assist with operating machines including molding press, rotary die cutter, tape slitter, re-winder, laminator, bagging machine, forklift, overhead press, clicker press

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1-year experience in shipping

• 2 years' experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

• Forklift certified

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication and basic math skills

• Ability to multi-task

• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word

• Experience using various shipping systems (such as UPS, FedEx, etc.)
