We are currently seeking experienced, qualified, professionals in Atlanta, GA to fill a Workers Compensation Claims Specialist role.This position requires you to have 2-5 years of experience processing WC claims. This position will support multi-state claims.  Your worksite for this position will be in East Point, GA so those who are qualified and living in Gwinnett County, GA are encouraged to apply. 

A Workers Compensation (WC) Claims Specialist will work with multiple locations and the WC Coordinators to obtain relevant information regarding company WC claims to assist the WC Claims Manager to ensure overall corporate efficiency regarding Workers Compensation Claims. The WC Claims Specialist will also support the WC Claims Manager with fielding phone calls of NLA ( Next Level Administrators) and work with the Safety Manager to ensure training or re-training is administered. We are looking for a computer savvy professional for this position that can demonstrate leadership and strong decision-making skills. Understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations in multiple states is preferred, but knowledge of workers compensation laws in the state of Georgia is required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Human Resources, Business, or Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent years’ of working in a Workers’ Compensation claims role

• Two or  more years of Workers’ Compensation claims management experience in Georgia 

• Bilingual skills are preferred, but not required

• Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to interact in a respectful manner with a diverse population of colleagues, clients and job applicants; leveraging active listening skills and paying attention to cues from reading their audience

• Proven communication skills; able to convey one’s message in a clear, concise and professional manner, considering one’s  audience, in all forms of media (i.e. voicemail, phone, email, face-to-face) and handles conflicts and disagreements constructively

• Proficient multi-tasking capabilities; able to prioritize multiple tasks at one time, while remaining compliant with policies and delivering against deadlines

• Proven problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail; able to identify important aspects of a problem, gather appropriate information, determine potential causes, and specify alternative solutions 

• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office software
